About LetMeSpeech
What is LetMeSpeech?
LetMeSpeech is a free, browser-based text-to-speech reader that converts any written text into spoken words while highlighting each word in real time. No installation, no account — just open the page, paste your text and press Play.
Who is it for?
The tool is designed for a wide range of users: students who want to improve reading comprehension, language learners who need to hear correct pronunciation, people with dyslexia or visual impairments who benefit from audio reading, professionals who want to proofread documents by ear, and anyone who simply prefers listening to reading.
How does it work?
LetMeSpeech uses the Web Speech API built into modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari). When you click Play or tap a word, the browser's speech engine reads the text aloud. The word currently being spoken is highlighted in yellow so you can follow along easily.
Technology
All text is processed entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. Settings and text are stored locally, so your data stays private.
